A Bear & Bison Country Inn was the setting for this intimate wedding celebration.
I arrived early in the afternoon to set up as the venue is conveniently only a few blocks from home. The wedding party were about to head out for pre-ceremony photos before the 5:45 wedding ceremony in the gazebo. Yes, an outdoor wedding in the mountains in winter! Complete with harpist I might add.
I arrived back at the Inn at 6:30 for a 7:00 start for background music, but started as soon as I arrived.
Dinner was skillfully prepared by Lonny Middleton, owner and Executive Chef at the Inn. He served up his signature Silver Service to the guests and I highly recommend this informal style for smaller groups. The servers bring out tray after tray of tasty hors d’oeuvres including Bruschetta, Pulled Pork Quesedillas, Pot-Stickers, spicy Mini-Burgers in mini bagels, cedar plank salmon and more. You will not leave this party hungry. Following dinner, a ‘Smores station was set up at the firepit near the gazebo.
After a few short speeches, Heather and Sebastien had their first dance to Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus followed by a Parents Dance to My Wish by Rascal Flatts.
My vantage point from the second floor library allowed me to keep an eye on the 30 or so guests as they danced to a wide variety of music throughout the evening.
Congratulations to Heather and Sebastien and enjoy your Jamaican honeymoon!
